In recent years, resin has become a highly valued material in the world of contemporary jewelry due to its versatility, its ability to take on multiple forms, and the possibility of working with it easily at home or in a small workshop.
However, in order to explore
To fully realize your creative potential, it is essential to master the basics of creating your own molds , as they are the tool that allows you to reproduce, adapt and develop personal shapes with complete freedom.
This course is designed as a practical introduction to working with resin in jewelry making , combining the learning of basic resin techniques with essential techniques for creating silicone molds . The goal is for participants to understand the entire process, from mold creation to the final piece, and
acquire a solid foundation that allows them to work autonomously, without depending on commercial models.
Through exercises, the creative possibilities of resin will be explored, and participants will learn to use the mold as a key tool within the design process, opening the door to developing freer and more coherent personal projects.
Course content
- Introduction to the use of epoxy resin in jewelry
- Types of resin and basic safety concepts, working time and curing
- Introduction to molds: function, types of silicone and basic criteria for their selection
- Step-by-step instructions for making simple silicone molds from basic objects or shapes
- Common tricks and mistakes in mold making: demolding, durability and finishing
- Resin preparation and mixing
- Pigment coloring techniques, layering, transparencies and inclusions
- Pouring the resin into molds and checking the final result
- Sanding and polishing parts to obtain matte or glossy finishes
- Systems for joining and combining with other materials to integrate the pieces into jewelry projects or personal creations

Introduction to Jesmonite
Jesmonite is a water-based resin that is versatile and more environmentally friendly than other synthetic resins. Its texture and possibilities make it an excellent material for the world of contemporary jewelry.
This course is an invitation to experiment with color, shapes, and textures through a series of accessible and creative techniques.
We will play with pigments, visual effects and finishes to explore everything this material can offer, from graphic pieces to stone imitations.
Each student will take home a sample of pieces showcasing the different techniques learned.
